How did the actions by the king and parliament lead up to the writing of the Declaration of Independence?

    The King and Parliament were passing laws that affected the colonists without out them having a voice (taxation without representation). Acts like the sugar, stamp, and quartering were tyrannical and the people of America wanted to be able to have a voice in their government.
