I put an attachment up
First of all what do you think it is?
there's no attachment
I think it's C
And I tried putting another attachment, but it won't let me.
@kristianatime hmm could you post it in the reply
Did that work?
great let's look a this
You know, I'm not sure. I'm not good at chemistry at all, so that was just my educated guess.
okay let's look at this graph and step by step
Sounds good. I really need help in Chemistry so I'm all ears in learning this.
@kristinatime that arrow i drew is the activation energy for the forward reaction, let me ask you something is this reaction endothermic or exothermic and how do you know?
I didn't get anything you drew. Or couldn't pull up what you drew.
it's basically the same picture you had. if you're using the phone app you may not be able to see it. well from the figure you posted is that an exothermic or endothermic reaction and why?
Oh yeah I'm using the app. And I think it would be exothermic because it is rising.
Endo is when the chemicals end up at a higher energy state, and exo when they end up at a lower one.
Well I feel dumb. Ha
@kristinatime, look at where the energy for A+B and C+D if C+D is higher than A+B then it's endo, if it's lower than A+B it's exothermic.
Then it is exothermic?
\(\checkmark \) lol
What is that?
@kristinatime for the figure you posted A+B are at 40 KJ while C+D are at 20Kj the enthalpy is equal to products - reactants and 20-40KJ = -20kj SO this is negative exothermic reaction this number means that energy was released from the reaction,
Ohhhh okay I'm understanding it better now.
