What is the value of the expression |x| + |y + z| when x = –6, y = –3, and z = –5?

    |x| if x is positive, then it is just x if x is negative, then it is -x let me explain with an example, if i have |2|, i know 2 is positive... so the result is just 2 if i have |-2|, i know -2 is negatice.. so the result is -(-2)=> 2 so absolute value would give always the positive no. as result..

    Ok, thank you I remembered something about a negative plus a negative equals a positive.
