Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so we have 8 ≥ 3x + 5 and we want to isolate x, what is the first thing you would want to do?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0bring it to both sides???

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0not quite, you want to first simplify the whole numbers, (8 and 5), to do this, without changing the equation, you can subtract 5 from both the left and right sides, so 8 5 ≥ 3x + 5 5 so this simplifies to 3 ≥ 3x

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0What do you think would be the next step to isolate x?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0okay um...I really want to say divide it from the 3 but I'm most likely wrong.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0no, thats actually correct! You want to divide both sides by 3. so you get 3/3 ≥ 3x/3 which simplifies down to 1 ≥ x

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Oh, well then. So if it's that simple what's with the two sentence thing?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0I think you're meant to draw the number line graph representing your answer and just a line or two explaining what the answer means exactly

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0so try drawing up a line graph and describing your solution in a line or two

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0Okay seems a bit pointless to do all that but alright. Thank you for your help.
