6. anonymous

is the 2 an exponent?

7. Ashsmashum1290

no i didnt want to put it there

8. anonymous

no the one on the right of the parenthesis?

9. Liv1234

Try using PEMDAS first. Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction

10. Liv1234

So, first you would do (7-4) and you would get 3 from that.

11. Liv1234

And then you would do 2*3 and what do you get from that?

12. Ashsmashum1290

6

13. Liv1234

Good! Then you would do 2+9 which is?

14. Ashsmashum1290

11

15. Liv1234

16. Ashsmashum1290

17

17. Liv1234

18. Ashsmashum1290

no i have to write how to simplify this expression

19. Liv1234

Okay, so from the steps I gave you, you can say the first thing you did was use PEMDAS. Then you subtracted what was in the parentheses which was (7-4) and got 3. Then you multiplied 2*3 and got 6 and added 9+2 together and got 11, then you added 6+11 and got 17.

20. Liv1234

$2*3+9-2$

21. Ashsmashum1290

what's pemdas??

22. Liv1234

Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction

23. Ashsmashum1290

oh ok

24. Liv1234

Do you mind becoming a fan?

25. Ashsmashum1290

i already did do mind fanning me to? @Liv1234

26. Ashsmashum1290

what is the soulution to -30 +k=9 @Liv1234

27. Liv1234

Are there any options?

28. Ashsmashum1290

yes let me put them up

29. Ashsmashum1290

A-39, B-21, C 39,D 21

30. Liv1234

Okay, one second.

31. Liv1234

B is the answer. Because if you add -30+9 you get -21 and if you subtract -21 from -30 you get 9.

32. Ashsmashum1290

oh ok thx again

33. Liv1234

No problem!

34. Ashsmashum1290

what is the addictive inverse of 22??
