you start by simplifying each one. you multiply the number out side the perentheisis by the ones inside seperatley. for example 10(3+6) wouls simplify to 30+60. 2 x 3a is 6a. and 2 x 6 is 12. so its 6a + 12

    Here's why: \[2(3a+6) \]is simplified to: \[(2)(3a)+(2)(6)\] which equals: \[6a + 12\]

If c represents the total number of children who bought tickets and a represents the total number of adults who bought tickets, which expression best represents the total money earned by the company from the sale of tickets? 5.75c + a c + 5.75a 11.5(c + a) 5.75(c + a)
