Which of the following would not work as a universal theme one might find in an epic? A. To live a full life, it is often the case that we must actively seek out and overcome obstacles. B. To find out who we are, it is often necessary to move in directions that will bring us into conflict with the things that we fear. C. An epic journey always involves combat with terrifying supernatural monsters. D. Choosing to face one's fears is not easy, but often leads to a more satisfying life in the long run.

    Well all answers A, B, and D have very centered value, in other words they have to do with the soul of a person. They're very 'deep' quotes, meaning that they can almost relate to everyone in a very intense way, making it "universal" because it can be related to everyone. Meanwhile answer C can't relate to everyone, not every person may think that fighting supernatural monster's is "epic". So the answer that would not work for a universal theme would be...

    This is honestly a tough one, I'm leaning towards it only being A B and C... but I'm not sure.
