I don't think this is a calculator problem. Can you graph y = |x|? It is a "V" with the point at the origin.

To graph y = |x|-9, take that graph and move it down 9 units.

you can use something like desmos to check your work https://www.desmos.com/calculator the calculator accepts `|x|-9` or `abs(x)-9` abs = absolute value
