Determine whether y varies directly with x. If so, find the constant of variation k and write the equation.
x y
4 6.4
7 11.2
10 16
13 20.8
Please show your work and give me an explanation. I have a test coming up and I am really stuck on these types of questions. I'd like to write this in my notebook for future reference and practice. :) Thanks! Will medal/fan as always.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1yes its multiply....and you can do this calculation for all the sets.. then check if you get a consistent k.. if k is same throughout.. then y is linearly dependent

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@ribhu Hey, I wanted to ask a question. When it says "write the equation" what would the equation be? I figured out that they all equal 1.6, so thank you. but i don't know what it means by equation.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0y = kx where k is the constant of variation k =1.6 in this question so replace k with 1.6 that would be the equation
