A bat and a ball cost one dollar and ten cents in total. The bat costs a dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

    if the bat is a dollar more then the ball, then the ball is 5 cents and the bat is 1.05 right?

    Total is $1.10 and the bat is 1$ more than the ball so take the 1$ away and all you have left is .10 c
