    subtract 4 from both sides and then create 2 equations, |2x | > 8 and |2x| < 8.

    the 2x + 4 can be negative or positive so we have 2x + 4 >8 and 2x + 4 < - 8 solve both inequalities

the second one needs to be negative as well, but to graph you need to use open circles and it will be an or statement i believe

No in both equation you subtract 4 form both sides and then divide both sides by 2
