    The rise of Christianity was very slow up until the Roman Empire killed Jesus, so if you can't tell he wasn't very liked. But in Medieval Europe the masses took to Christianity like flies to poop. So to compare the two, The Roman Empire disliked Christianity when it first started. Europe welcomed it for the most part.
