## jabez177 one year ago Hmm, do you think there should be a question thing when you create an account because there are 11 and 12 year olds on this site when OpenStudy is for 13+...

1. Nnesha

OpenStudy is 13+

2. jabez177

Yes but there are 12 and 11 year olds coming and asking 6th grade questions...

3. anonymous

But maybe there are 13 year olds in 6th grade, I dunno. But yes, you have a point ^.^

4. jabez177

Yes.

5. Nnesha

yes right don't you think they will again ?

6. Nnesha

lie*

7. Nnesha

questions ? like what ?

8. jabez177

9. jabez177

It's absolutely outrageous!

10. Nnesha

there are questions like -9 times 18 so they are not 13 years old ?

11. AlexandervonHumboldt2

yeah nnesha

12. AlexandervonHumboldt2

because this is a 3rd grade question which is less than 13+

13. anonymous

Well what about when someone wants to make an OS account, theres a question, say math, that is from 9th grade or 10th etc. Then they will have to answer the question. I'm not sure

14. Nnesha
15. jabez177

Not what I meant.... There was this kid I was helping and I Said, "I took these in 6th grade." And that person said, "I'm in 6th grade and 11, can you help me?" What do you say then?

16. anonymous

I would help, but I feel like if I tell the person something about his age or sorts, I will feel awkward >.<

18. anonymous

The might lie, not sure :l

19. anonymous

Or what about a question from college?

20. AlexandervonHumboldt2

there is no way to avoid being people <13+ on os. there is NO WAY

21. anonymous

hmmn..

22. anonymous

I've ran out of ideas ._.

23. Nnesha

that was my opinion let's see what other people thinkz\o^_^o/

24. Jaynator495

You know, technically they can bypass the 13+ law if they make it so if your 13 or under, a parent must fill out their email, and confirm that they are their parent by entering a CC to be preprocessed to confirm its legit, then the site would not be held responsible, as the parent has willingly and knowledgeably let the child on the site.

25. jabez177

Ah but some kids are smart, fake ages and etc.

26. jabez177

But still there should be a thing like when you set an alarm, but except it'll be the age.

27. jabez177

Well I'm gonna give more feedback later, I have a flight to catch...

28. EclipsedStar

It might seen a bit overboard if you sign up and a prompt asks you for your age...lol. Anyways, not much you can do about it besides report and move on.

29. anonymous

Or just leave it . just awnser there quration and move on 😊

30. AlexandervonHumboldt2

listen jay, You know, technically they can bypass the 13+ law if they make it so if your 13 or under, a parent must fill out their email, and confirm that they are their parent by entering a CC to be preprocessed to confirm its legit, then the site would not be held responsible, as the parent has willingly and knowledgeably let the child on the site. all people will leave os. nobody will want to fill out 3 million forms to ask question or help others. this is idiotic. look: To ask a question i need to fill out a form. to help i need to fill out a form. Maybe you wanna also show your passport with driver licence and school id and make a deposit in 30000 $and 50 references that you are 13+. huh? everyone will leave os 100%. and nobody will make new accounts on it. 31. AlexandervonHumboldt2 @jaynator495 32. AlexandervonHumboldt2 and also show a bank account, give an email of your school teacher. and telephone. and address , huh? 33. AlexandervonHumboldt2 @ksanka lol 34. jabez177 I see your point, @EclipsedStar. 35. 36. AlexandervonHumboldt2

no

37. AlexandervonHumboldt2

i still disagree. children 12- will just fill out fake forms

38. AlexandervonHumboldt2

you still cannot check if it is written by parent.

39. AlexandervonHumboldt2

@Preetha what do you think about all this?

40. TheSmartOne
