- anonymous

okay you divid all the numbers by 8 and (B) gets you the closest when rounding to the ones place? IDK how to explain it _ #2

- TrojanPoem

@rainbow_rocks03 , Are you either good in dividing or allowed to use calculator ?

- anonymous

i think mr.poem (or mrs.) has answers

- rainbow_rocks03

Yes I have a calculator

- anonymous

see thats what i did

- anonymous

calulator

- rainbow_rocks03

So how do I do it?

- anonymous

i give up ask Trojan

- TrojanPoem

Ok, It says which number must be in the empty place to be divisible by 6 so 272_ replace the _ with 2/ 3 / 8 / 4 then divide it on the calculator over 6 if the result is integer you got it.

- anonymous

*head explodes all over computer*

- TrojanPoem

for e.x 17. 2722 / 6 = 453.6667 < no
2724 / 6 = 454 ( ok )
2728 / 6 = 454.6667 ( no )
2723 / 6 = 453.833 ( no )

- rainbow_rocks03

so like this... 2,722 / 6 ? like that @TrojanPoem ?

- TrojanPoem

Yeah, but the answer is 4 as it's a right number

- rainbow_rocks03

So for the first one it is 4, ty, will you help me with more?

- rainbow_rocks03

if you can?

- TrojanPoem

Yeah, I am waiting for you to solve the second.

- TrojanPoem

Send the solution here.

- rainbow_rocks03

- rainbow_rocks03

is my answer 4,136?

- TrojanPoem

right

- rainbow_rocks03

yay!

- rainbow_rocks03

number 19?

- TrojanPoem

Divide it by each of the given numbers 3 , 5, 9, 10

- anonymous

17. C- 4
18. C-4136
19. C- 3,9

- rainbow_rocks03

no direct answers

- rainbow_rocks03

59,859 /3 =19953

- rainbow_rocks03

59,859 / 5=11971.8

- rainbow_rocks03

59,859 / 9=6651

- rainbow_rocks03

59,859 / 10=5985.9

- TrojanPoem

@rainbow_rocks03 , so which do you think the right numbers are?

- anonymous

sorry I was going to explain in the next comment, but my computer died.
Ok 17= 4 because 2724/6= a whole number
18= 4136 because, once again, it equals a whole number when divided by 8(what their looking for.)
19= 3 & 9 because the number 59859 is divisible by 3 & 9 while remaining whole numbers.

- TrojanPoem

right.

- rainbow_rocks03

yay!

- rainbow_rocks03

TY!

- TrojanPoem

Anytime.

- rainbow_rocks03

I need help with more still though.

- TrojanPoem

Ok,

- rainbow_rocks03

- TrojanPoem

You divide the number of days in school / total days

- rainbow_rocks03

180 / 365 ?

- TrojanPoem

For example you got 3 marks out of 8 so you got 3/8 of the marks , try with the question

- TrojanPoem

Right

- rainbow_rocks03

so 180 / 365=0.49315068493151

- TrojanPoem

Nah, 180/365 = 36/72 ( divide by 5 )

- rainbow_rocks03

divide 36/72 by 5?

- TrojanPoem

sorry 36/73

- TrojanPoem

Your answer is right, but you should write it as a fraction

- rainbow_rocks03

so 36/73 by 5?

- TrojanPoem

I meant 180 /5 = 36 , 365 / 5 = 73

- rainbow_rocks03

oh

- TrojanPoem

It's like putting it on the calculator.

- anonymous

The Last one: To change a fraction into a mixed number, you say 39/9=?
Then, you say ? x 9 = ?? and ?? - 39 = A.
Put A over 9, (A/9) and simplify. Then you have a mixed number. :)
Btw-sorry if I'm on a different problem than you, just go to this when you need it.

- TrojanPoem

@Need-help-k12-user , see what he said.
E.x 7/4 = 4 + 3 /4 = 4/4 + 3/4 = 1 + 3/4 = 1.3/4

- rainbow_rocks03

Is that a divide or a fraction?

- TrojanPoem

Initially, 39/9 ? you can simplify the fraction

- TrojanPoem

fraction (1) (nominator : 3 ) / ( denominator : 4 )

- rainbow_rocks03

dw:1444158974877:dw

- TrojanPoem

Not the answer for your question but my example , yeh

- rainbow_rocks03

yeah I know that isn't the answer I was asking is that what you were trying to say. :)

- TrojanPoem

Oh, ok , can you try on the question ?

- rainbow_rocks03

try what on the question?

- TrojanPoem

Let's say you have 33/6 = 11/2 now the greatest number within 11 which is divisible by 2 so it's 10 10+ 1/ 2 = 10/2 + 1/2 = 5, 1/2

- TrojanPoem

9/2 = 8 + 1 / 2 = 4, 1/2

- TrojanPoem

7 / 6 = 6 + 1/ 6 = 1, 1/6

- rainbow_rocks03

So my answer 1/2 on the first one?

- TrojanPoem

dw:1444159368040:dw

- TrojanPoem

dw:1444159419474:dw

- TrojanPoem

dw:1444159462625:dw

- TrojanPoem

I know it's hard for first time xD

- TrojanPoem

18/5 try it on your own

- TrojanPoem

Then see the answer : |dw:1444159549757:dw|

- TrojanPoem

I will be right back.

- rainbow_rocks03

ok

- rainbow_rocks03

I still don't know what the answer is for the first onw. :?

- rainbow_rocks03

*one

- TrojanPoem

36/9 = ( simplify)
