I fan and medal techniques for separating mixtures in the solid or liquid state

    Well you can use a separatory funnel, one that's used in extractions, to separate out different compounds, with an aqueous and organic phase. You can use filter paper, and or a funnel to separate solids from a liquid. The liquid passes through the paper and the solid can't make it through and stays on the paper
