    What do you think? First try to solve it without the inequality. Just think of it as a regular line and ignore the shaded region.

    So close!! It's -2. If you start at 0, you go DOWN 2 and over to the right 1. The negative indicates that it is going down. Now for the inequality part. Which side is the shaded region on?

    So what does that mean? Is the shaded side less than the line? Or greater than the line?

    Yes! Therefore, we have the equation y < (less than) -2x. The equations in our choices, don't have that, but they have 2x + y < 0, which is the same thing :)
