Which of the following gases are typically used for colorful lighting when an electric current is applied? A) hydrogen and helium B) argon and krypton C) fluorine and chlorine D) oxygen and nitrogen sorry i didn't know what science to put the question under.

    In neon signs there are two carbon electrodes that energize the electrons of different gases and coatings to produce color. Argon and Krypton are two of the gases used Argon giving off a violet color and Krypton giving off a white color. The answer is B.
