Given the functions f(x) = 2x2 − 8x, g(x) = x2 − 6x + 1, and h(x) = –2x2, rank them from least to greatest based on their axis of symmetry.

    for each function rewrite in vertex form same as set function = 0 and find the change in x value find the midpoint the axis of symmetry is the x value of the vertex put the these x-values in order from lowest to highest number on the number line

    i understand how to find f(x) and g(x) but i still dont understand how is x=-b over 2a how can i find that with only -2x2
