Exponential growth describes, mathematically, the type of growth that grows very rapidly and consists of two parameters. The first parameters describes where you start, the second is the growth factor that describes how fast the exponential is growing. $$ y(t)=P_o\exp^{at} $$ So here, t is just time, y(t) is the exponential at a particular point in time. \(P_o\) is where you start and \(a\) is the growth parameter. y(t) could be the number of particles at a particular time, for example. Does this make sense?

@ybarrap Then exp in the problem stand for the exponential? y(t)=Po(exp)at

ya\[P=P_0 e^{at}\]
