Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.0@suppa_lova 's answer above is WRONG "X=1 because when you simplify it comes out as 6x(2x+8)=12. then you subtract the 8 from both sides to get 6x2x=4. then finally you combine like terms and get 4x=4 then simplify to get x=1" He has not correctly distributed the 2 into the brackets it SHOULD be 6x(2x+8)=12 6x2x8 =12 then ADD 8 to each side....
