Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1In my homework, I'm supposed to factor the expression x^2 + 8x 9 using the guess and check method. I know that that means I have to find two numbers that add up make the second term and multiply to make the third term. But I can't think of any numbers that add up to 8 and multiply to 9. I don't know what to do now.

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1So the factors should be: (x 1) (x + 9) Correct?

Best ResponseYou've already chosen the best response.1right leading coefficient is one so you can write it as (x + (1st number)) (x+ (2nd number)) good job! :=)
