Interpretative- interpretative is an adjective that means providing explanation. Something interpretative is helping you understand or make meaning. When you visit a national monument, you might not understand the symbolism until you read the interpretative signs that explain and interpret the monument for visitors. Evaluative- an adjective that means exercising or involving careful appraisals. To be evaluative is to consider or judge something carefully.

Some Interpretative questions would be : What psychological states does the text appear to explore? What philosophical questions does the text seem to grapple with? What socio-political issues does the text seem to address? For what apparent reasons? Some Evaluative questions would be : What would be a good place to take the kids on a field trip? Do you agree with Ahab's views on whales? Who's your favorite Pokemon? This might be able to help you understand it more as well just it takes a minute or so to load. http://www.umasd.org/cms/lib7/PA01000379/Centricity/Domain/518/Documents/Three%20Types%20of%20Questions.pdf
