How do you implement an ICredentialProviderCredential interface into a vb.net application or how do you run it in powershell?

essentially I need to login to the computer using the computer that is locked when the application receives the username and password from a phone. I am able to send the information and I can lock the computer only problem is I cannot figure out how to unlock the computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I could run powershell scripts or use a cmd and if there is any other method anyone can think of I am willing to try that as well. Thank you in advance.

Couldn't find a download on the page, but I think that the relevant executables are those: https://launchpad.net/remoteunlock

Alright i guess this is sorta what I'm looking for but problem is there isn't a code that is accessible for it. I don't need a pre-compiled exe i need code so i can incorporate it to my application.

I'll try to look for that, you just said that using powershell and other methods are plausible so I posted what I could find

I don't think that the language is what matters. If the framework (in our case .NET) doesn't supply you the right tools then you're left to use windows DLLs or something like that. I'll try to see if I could find source code doing that The thing is that powershell (like any shell) executes precompiled files, so I don't understand why the solution above is not good for that

well the solution above is not going to work because it is targeting windows that is prior to windows vista and as of right now that is pointless to have.

seems relevant as SimpleCredentialProvider/SimpleCredentialProvider/readme.txt states "This sample implements a simple credential provider. A credential provider allows a 3rd party to provide an alternate way of logging on. For example, a fingerprint solution vendor would write a credential provider to interact with the user and send the appropriate credentials to the system for authentication."

yeah that is what i was looking at i just have no idea how to implement that lol. couldnt figure out how to call the information and unlock the system though. If you can figure it out mind explaining how it works. Oh also is this method depreciated?

hmm lemme see. I actually don't use windows, so I can't really test it at the moment, maybe I'll try set up a Visual Studio in a virtual machine later and see if I can extract only what's needed for unlocking, but let me read the code to see if I can understand how it works
