    to solve the second equation factor the left side of x^2 - 5x - 14 = 0 this can be factored to give (x + a)(x + b) to find a and b you need 2 numbers whose product is -14 and whose sum is -5

    i already finished the 1st one i got x=-2 and x=5 but not the 2nd
