The perimeter of a square is 49 inches. What is the length of one side of the square?

    a square has all sides equal in length perimeter is the sum of all 4 sides so divide the perimeter of 49 by 4 to find the length of 1 side

    P = 4a where P is the perimeter and a is the sides length so \[a = \frac{ P }{ 4 }\]
