I need help and will give gold medal!!! steps to show me how to do this are greatly needed Your supervisor would like you to hire the least expensive moving service to transport some stock from one store to another. A Man and a Van charges $1 per box in addition to a fee of $100 for moving boxes. Action Movers charges $60 per hour. There are 300 boxes to be moved. If it will take 6 hrs to move the boxes, how much will moving job cost, using the least expensive moving service?

    judging by your attempt above - I assume the time taken is 6 hours

    If that is correct - then your answer is VERY nearly correct however - you have not added in the extra $100 the 'man and van' charges for the move

    there is a mistake in your attempt as 100+300 != 300

    is it 60 hours? or 6? you have nearly done it above - but the question states the man and van charges $1 per box PLUS $100

    so - complete your original work - but add in the $100

    as @MrNood said, you pretty much have it solved just don't forget to add your 100$ to the man with the van amount

    Man with a van: 300 x 1 = $300 for the boxes 100 + 300 = $400 (additional charges) Total cost = $400 Action movers: 60 x 6 = $360 (total cost) In conclusion, the Action movers will be a cheaper cost as they will charge you $360 to move all the boxes where as man with a van will charge $400.

    You were right previously, you just missed out the $100 additional charge that the man with a van charges you. Apart from that you were correct. And thanks MrNood, but im pretty sure he didnt get your jist. Glad I could help :)
