    He already has $35.00, and he needs the total of $175.00, he's trying to make the rest that he needs in 6 weeks (but you don't know how much he's making each week so that's would make it D) you have to combine what he already have(35) and what he's try to make by when(35+6) the amount he makes each week is unknown (35+6d) and the total he try to get (35+6d=175)
