    One of them was the innovation of interchangeable parts, and another (possibility) would be changing the way people use/purify/make cotton.

    A. This would cause an excuse to expand slavery, so I believe this could be an option B. Debatable; it required fewer people, but then they wanted to have more to expand west. This isn't true. C. This is true because purified cotton made it actually usable. D. Coastal areas had agriculture such as crops, they didn't need cotton.
