because u already are given the completed the square version of the answer therefore all you need to do is look at your question. the equation for completing the square will usually look like \[(x-a)^2+b\] so therefore the vertex will be (a,b) This means that whatever is inside the bracket will usually have the opposite sign(+/-) and whatever is outside the bracket will have the same sign as the equation. So in your case the formula inside the bracket was (x+6)^2+3 That meant that the a=-6 and the b=3 thus the vertex was (-6,3)
