But anyway, let's think of this data as ordered pairs! :) We're told that after 2 hours, we have a velocity of 54: (2,54) And after 4 hours, the velocity is 58: (4,58) So we would like to create a linear function (I'm assuming) to model the velocity at any time. y=mx+b Our slope formula gives us the slope of this line:\[\large\rm m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\]Remember how to use that? :)
