Woah, what grade is this because this question sounds really hard!

Hello. If you plan to use OpenStudy often, I'd suggest you learn how to present problems mathematically, instead of in words. Did you know you can draw equations using Draw (button below)?|dw:1449506016115:dw|

Your "p3" looks to me like an effort to write "p to the 3rd power." Is that what you meant? Are you famiilar with powers, such as \[x^2, x^3, etc.?\]

yes

could you possibly try out the Draw utility (below) as a tool to present your equation? Otherwise your helpers have to go through y our verbal description of your equation and do their own translation, which can be a bit of a burden.

Is what you posted supposed to be just one expression, or have you posted four or five different problems to be addressed individually?

For example: "find the value of p in the equation p3 = 8" is a problem in itself. If y ou meant \[p^3=8,\]

then y ou could take the cube root of both sides, ending up with p=2. I drew this same problem for you, a few minutes ago; please refer to that.

one expression p equals cube root of 8 p equals 3 multiplied by the square root of 8 p equals 2 multiplied by square root of 8 p equals square root of 8 theses are the choices

So much better. You are given an algebraic expression English and are required to translate it into math symbols, actually, math equations. Please translate this into an algebraic equation: " p equals 3 multiplied by the square root of 8" If you feel stuck, ask questions for clarification.
