Company Sell-It knows that the amount of product it sells depends on the price of the product and how much each store charges for the product. The company uses the formula p = 0.5q + 30, where p is the price of the product and q is the quantity that will sell, to determine the amount of product to ship to a store. Describe how the company would use this formula to determine the quantities to ship to its three stores knowing that each store charges a different price.

That is an interesting question.
I can't come up with any equations to prove this, but if the same product at Best Buy cost less than at Fry' (information I got off of a Google search of the product).
Who would sell more? (By human nature).
Now I figured out the equation. It was the three stores that through me.
By human nature, it'd likely be Best buy...
But it also depends on multiple factors such as convenience, distance, time of day etc.

Great answer, so if the stores were right next to each other, as often is the case. Best Buy would sell more correct.
So, Sell It would need to ship them more.
How many more?
I figured it out thank you for helping me.
It was really confusing.
What answer did you get?
The answer that they said was right was that 14 more needed to be shipped to every store, it said that it was the correct answer on the test
I don't know why that is correct, but ok.
if p1q1 = p2q2 = p3q3
and p1 > p2 > p3 then q1 < q2 < q3 it's an inverse relationship.
solving the equation for q = 2p - 60 plug in the price value for p (not given) to find q
Thank you I don't know either but at least I got it.
