Some ISPs give you space on their servers, a few megs, that you can put a website on. You'll probably need to relink your href tags. You can host a website from home, but you may have to change what port the webserver listens on. HTML, CSS and JavaScript, from a server point of veiw, is static content. Simple to set up on a server.

For paid server hosts, hostgator isn't bad. I haven't hosted one from my own computer before though.

Don't bother trying to host it on your own machine. You'll need some knowledge of networking to do it.
