nvm, I saw what I was doing wrong, i got the answer, i appreciate that you'd at least answered? i got 38, 40, and 42. if you don't believe me :L

Yes, those heights work. One way you could do this is to take the total and simply divide it by 3. That of course gives you 3 identical heights, and you make one the even integer before, and one the even integer after the (average) value you got. 120/3 = 40, so one kid is 40, one kid is 40-2 and one kid is 42.
