they are different by one no gumption is about a boy who is forced to deliver newspapers for money to support his family and learn about hard work and barrio boy is about a immigrant moves to the U.S. in during the revolutionary war i believe and he needs to learn English, his family is poor as well as the economy. They are similar in that both boys must work hard as there families are poor in a poor economy. This is all I could come up with, good luck!
