Freezes your machine...? Oh silly me, yeah a computer is a machine. Just close the browser and reopen the tab, always works for me. :)

That's sad. Mathjax does also slow my pc when I open a thread. But I would rather be happy that it loads with my Pentium processor :-|

Thanks @ArvvindG: I also use a Pentium processor, and it always happens when I open a thread too, but I just noticed that the wait was a lot shorter if there is no LaTeX to render in the first opened thread :D

Ive been working on a server side parsing mechanism for mathjax, so it will be parsed server side, then the post contents will directly contain the mathjax HTML to prevent lag... However i stopped this project when i realized there wasnt a chance to actually get it implmented as preetha wont let me fiddle with the source code to fix os xD
