Is it just me, or does this whole affair seem a bit suspicious? I believe @Emasha , @WERKGIRLL , @NoneOfYourBusiness , and possibly even @SmartyPants1011 (though I doubt the last one more than the other three) are all one person. They're all fairly new accounts, easily able to make duplicate accounts for this joke/prank post. Possibly did this to express multiple sides to their personality. One thing I know for certain: THAT is NOT 12th grade level English Or the standards have fallen drastically without my notice There is also the possibility I'm being too prone to making conspiracy theories Maybe

One last thing: how does WERKGIRLL know that Emasha is a girl Thank you all for your time and thoughts
Ghostgate
  • Ghostgate
Well in comparison, the name "Emasha" does reflect a possible girl, but then again you may be onto something.
JackofallTradez
  • JackofallTradez
I thought about that But WERKGIRLL also points toward a feminine user And NoneOfYourBusiness real identity remains none of your business XD However, on further analysis, I believe SmartyPants1011 and possibly also radar were intended to be pranked At least that's what I came up with. Who knows Probably only WERKGIRLL Who started the suspicion

That is not even close to 12th grade writing and grammatics. That's like baby's first paper level of understanding grammar. I SHALL ENLIGHTEN YOU DEAR FRIEND ON THE WAYS OF WISHY-WASHY ETHICS OF SENIOR EDUCATION IN THE WAYS OF PAPERS AND SUCH! 1. Citation Machine is your best friend. (MLA format all day, everyday) 2. Any form of "you" is a no-no, it's a cardinal sin of writing for our grade level. No "you","you're,"your",etc. 3. You will want to kill Joseph Gibaldi in cold blood by the middle of the semester. You will see MLA in your sleep, your breakfast, in the shower. It's nuts, but you have to master it for college sake. 4. Parentheticals are key to a passing paper, not a good paper, a passing paper. 5. There is such a thing as too much quotation, but no such thing as too much citation. The paper must be at least 80% non-quotes. 6. USE " for quotes or the law might actually be involved. No joke. They press using " around quotes because people can actually be kicked out of college for plagiarizing. If " is missing, you have - technically - plagiarized and it is legitimate grounds for legal action. 7. Notebooks are your friend, pocket books are your god. Seriously, those tiny little devils have saved my hind more times that I can count. Sometimes the teacher will drop life advice and/or paper advice that normally they wouldn't teach (for whatever reason). It's kinda like a blue moon random occasion deal. Another reason is you might be yunking about the internet or even outside in town somewhere and come across something useful for the paper. A great place to check for extra advice is actually here on open study. I know we have some college students who have been through the ringer both in high school and in college. 8. Notes, notes, notes, notes, NOTES, NOTES, NOTES, NOTES! 9. Read,re-read, RE-RE-READ the stipulations (requirements) for the paper. Sometimes you will mess up and/or not include a vital stipulation for the paper and be S.O.L when it time to turn it in. 10. Ask your teacher if they have a special way to help improve your papers and/or check for errors. I forget how to spell it, but my teacher as rasinsoation (I think I spelled it wrong). She made our entire class do it per-paper and it helps big time. That's all I have for now.
