Two boys are comparing how fast they are growing. Alex is 60 inches tall and growing at a rate of 1/4 of an inch every month. Leo is 48 inches tall and growing at a rate of 1/2 of an inch every month. Graph the point representing the number of months it will take Alex and Leo to be the same height.

So you have to graph it use one axis as the height in inches, the other the length of time each month. So up the y axis would be 10, 20, 30 , 40, etc. while the x axis would have 1 month, 2, 3, 4, etc. Make sense so far?

ok thank you
ok my graph sucks. So basically, for every month that passes, Alex grows 1/2 as much as Leo. Since Alex grows 1/4 each month, he'll grow an inch after four months. Leo will have grown 2, since he's growing double as fast. For that reason, I'm gonna go by fours in the months on the graph, hang on
So here the one is Alex, his slope is 1/4 so every four months he grows half an inch
