That seems reasonable to me! If we take a look at Newton's law of Universal Gravitation:
We can see that the gravitational force F exerted between any two bodies is equal to the product of the mass of each of the bodies divided by the radius, or distance between the two, squared times some constant multiplier G (the gravitational constant)
Knowing that the mass of each planet is the same, we can disregard this portion. G is a constant so it's always the same. The only variable in this case is r, the distance from the sun to each planet.
If r gets bigger, you divide by a bigger number, and your resulting force gets smaller!
