God does not show favoritism. So, all are dearly loved honestly, it's His creation. He is no respecter of persons, nor does He favor animals over humans.

God created everything we see and what we don't see. But, God only came to Earth to die for Humans sins, not animals. So that answers your question.

Favored species, do you mean the Jews? They were the chosen people of God.

And God is male, and so are his angels, why? Because they have no need to reproduce, they are immortal.

Which God? The Christian one? If so, then God does not have an actual sex. However God is referred to in the masculine form. As for species, the Christian philosophical focus is mainly on homo sapiens sapiens. Not sure if that counts as favored though.

When God created the earth and all its inhabitants, it says he breathed life into man. He didn't take the time to do that for a lion or a monkey. Also, I agree with Opcode. God doesn't have a specific sex, bit is mention in the Bible as "Him" and "He"

humans were Gods favourite species this is because from the christians point of view: the bible suggests that humans were the most part of creationand the only part of creation to be made in the image of god

Humans beings are the best of gods creations according to the faiths of abraham ie. Jew, Christian , Musims

@mazmaz1 think before voicing your idea. considering humans are vulnerable to diseases, and other things that are arguably non-god like, the word best really makes it sound like God is lacking. So as far as for humans beings to the best of God's creations, that would be a disappointment. In Judaism I fairly certain that concept is dulled away from Christian thought (image of man, etc). (I do not have it on the top of my head to quote things from the Hebrew Tanakh, so citation needed). What I can comment is on Islam, in which what you said is not believed true by the majority of Muslims (Sunni), as well as by the minor sect (Shia). In fact is has no basis from Islamic holy text, with the exclusion of best being deemed at without context in verse 17:70 more on this, you can read tafsir al-Jalalayn, on the comment of verse 17:70.) Anyway, in 98:7 (surah al-Bayyinah) it clearly says, that those who have faith, and do righteous deeds are of the best of creatures. So to put it simply, you are wrong. Which leads me to remember the funny, "rocks have souls."

Quran surah teen By the fig and the olive, 95:2 By Mount Sinai, 95:3 And by this land made safe; 95:4 Surely We created man of the best stature 95:5 Then we reduced him to the lowest of the low, 95:6 Save those who believe and do good works, and theirs is a reward unfailing. 95:7 So who henceforth will give the lie to thee about the judgment? 95:8 Is not Allah the most conclusive of all judges?

okay but all Muslims definitely believe that Human are the best of gods creation because we choose to worshp him out of our own will unlike the angels. 2:30 - 2:35 Quran

@mazmaz1 angels do not have free will in Islam. Also those verses you mention have nothing to say who is best. (Unless you mean to include 2:40, but even then that is a different context.) Also before you make another post, make sure you read 98:7, and either provide a counter or something with basis showing another direction.

thats what is meant angles serve out because they have no choice but humans choose to worship God almighty

In Al Jalalin Tafsir, verse 17:70 is explained as such: And verily We have honoured, We have preferred, the Children of Adam, [above other creation], by [giving them] knowledge, speech and [their being] a creation of even proportions amongst other things, including their [means of] purification after death, and carried them over land, on animal-back, and sea, in ships, and provided them with good things and We have preferred them above many of those whom We created, such as livestock and wild animals, with a marked preferment. (the min has the sense of mā, ‘of what’, or something close to it, and includes the angels, the purpose being to give preference to the [angelic] genus; there is no requirement to give [explicit] preference to the individuals [of this category of being], since they [angels] are superior to mankind, excepting the prophets). and this proves my pint that humans are the best.

No it does not, but thanks for translating it and posting it here. You see to put it simply and cut to the chase, all \(\ne\) many, so you cannot conclude which is best. Ergo, it is of err to say humans are the best, because as according to 98:7, the best are those who have faith and do righteous deeds. Now about your angels argument, you do realize that there are beings called jinn in Islamic philosophy. They have free will to an extent too, so your logic fails around that area...
mazmaz1
  • mazmaz1
no angels and jinn are different to muslims.
Opcode

@mazmaz1 I never said angels and jinn are the same thing... Also do you mind clarifying what \(\it{Muslims}\) you are talking about, I am familiar with Sunni, Shia, and Ahmadi fiqh and scholarly writings, the general gist you are spouting that humans are God's best creatures is effectively non-existent in the majority of these writings. Also could you plain out state what do you understand from surah al-Bayyinah (98), ayah 7?

god, in abrahamic religions, showed favoritism of one creation (species) above else.

Far from objective, since it is more of a perceived thing, "favoritism". Favoritism in religious notions seems obnoxious, with God usually being considered maximal.

I agree that God does not have a favorite.
